What is the best alarm clock for someone who has trouble waking up to standard alarm clocks?
ChanelGirl707 asked:
My husband is a police officer and we are having trouble finding a reliable alarm clock. He works usually 12-16hr shifts. He has trouble waking up to the standard noise and it is often not loud enough. Does anyone know of any high-end or just reallyyyyy good alarm clocks?

use your phone, and set 3 alarms for like 7 min in between and make the last one the actual time you have to get up out of bed, the first will wake you up, and if not the 2nd will, and the 3rd really will!

I’m not quite sure what the name of this alarm clock is but after every time it alarms it moves to another part of the room and it gets louder. So you can’t hit snooze and it’s really annoying lol. Go to sharper image! they have a lot great electronics!

hire a midget and give him a super-sonic-bull-horn.
that should work.

DUDE then you should get those alarm clocks that don’t stop until you hit them. they are the ones with wheels and they roll away so you HAVE to get out of bed to turn them off. idk how the sound does though, but i know that they have some at target.
and theres another alarm clock out there thats a puzzle, and it doesn’t stop until you put it back together.
or if none of these options do it for you, you could always buy a rooster.

This kind ALWAYS works for me! And trust me, I don’t think there is even 1 person in this world who finds it harder to wake up by regular alarm clocks than me!!

open his eyes and shake him a little calling his name. sometimes being gentle is how you win.
—- or a phone you could set to high volume plus the vibrator so he could feel it.

Just get a plug-in timer-switch from an electrics shop.
Connect it to the radio, set it really loud, set the time switch and that’s it.
OR - connect timer-switch to a bedside light - that way you wake up gently, in a good mood.
Who gave it the thumbs-down? Why? It works great - I’ve done it all my life!
Easy.

….hmm .. this may be silly, but it works & U can save yourself some money: If U have an iPhone or iPod Touch, connect it to your computer speakers (hook speakers to the iphone/Touch via the headphone jack & set the alarm clock feature. TURN IPOD volume ALL the way up and do similar 2 speakers. ) Good luck.
